Keller's 8th birthday!

Keller turned 8 on Sunday. Sometimes it's hard to believe it has ONLY been eight years since he was born ;) but mostly it's hard to believe he's already half-way to driving age. Ahhhh!

For school on Friday, "we" made Mummy Cookies for his class. They're milanos covered with frosting 'bandages' and gel eyes. I pushed for something healthier but still Halloweenish--my fun/gory idea was to make bread sticks in the shape of skeleton bones and give the kids some pizza sauce (blood) to dunk their bones in. Keller quickly informed me that none of the other kids were 'forced' to bring something they didn't want. So cookies it was. Because heaven forbid a child be 'forced' to eat something other than cupcakes or cookies on his birthday.

We celebrated his birthday with a bash at our gym on Sunday afternoon. The kids got to spend an hour on the rock wall, then had pizza and cake, then spent an hour in the pool. Everyone had a blast and I think we sent a few kids home tired. Not mine, of course. We hit a playground for an hour after the party :)

Casey's Fall Photo Shoot

Casey had his time to shine this morning when I took his fall pics. He has his first official crush, so each photo spot and pose that I suggested got judged by him based on whether or not it would make him look good enough to give the picture to the little apple of his eye. So cute. Leave me a comment to vote for your favorite!

Most of Casey's 'outtakes' also happen to be the shots he engineered as his idea of how to impress a cute five year old girl!

A kind stranger offered to take a picture of Casey and I together, which was awesome because I am the official Huffman photographer and therefore show up in about .5% of our photos every year!

Keller's Fall Photo Shoot

After a thorough shampoo and conditioning by his stylist (aka Mom), Keller posed for his fall photo shoot this afternoon. And did he ever pose. Apparently, Keller has been paying attention to his Uncle Jim who is an actor in L.A.; he was ready to strike a face/pose that would be great for each and every acting role imagineable. Out of 100 photos (and he would've kept hamming it up if I hadn't put an end to it and turned off my camera), these are my favorites. Leave me a comment or write me a note on Facebook to vote for your favorite!! The outtakes at the end are worth it!
